Each packet contains six domes or sleeves.

New bending design

A redesigned bend improves the angle between receiver and canal, making insertion easier and reducing discomfort during wear.

Smaller ear canal fit

Signia earware domes – open vs closed vs vented – what’s the difference?

Signia 3.0 domes (open, closed, vented / tulip) differ primarily in sound leakage and retention.

Open domes (5-10mm) provide natural sound for mild hearing loss.

Vented / tulip domes (8-12mm) balance amplification with comfort.

Closed sleeves (XS, S, M, L) offer maximum power and reduced feedback for severe loss, preventing the occlusion effect.

Key differences and usage examples:

• Signia 3.0 Open Domes (5mm, 7mm, 10mm): Best for mild, high-frequency loss. These have multiple holes, allowing natural, low-frequency sound to enter, reducing the “plugged” or “echo” sensation. 
• Signia 3.0 Vented / Tulip Domes (8mm, 12mm): Ideal for moderate hearing loss. These provide a middle ground, offering more amplification than open domes while reducing the occlusion effect (hearing your voice in a barrel).
• Signia 3.0 Closed Sleeves (Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large): Recommended for moderate to severe hearing loss. These lack vents, forming a solid seal to increase bass and prevent high-pitched whistling (feedback).

How do I know which type of earwear 3.0 dome / eartip is on my hearing aid?

How to Identify Specifically:

• Markings: Gently check the base of the dome / sleeve near the receiver wire connection for size / type markings.
• Colours: Signia 3.0 domes / sleeves are typically a grey colour.
• Shape: Look for the Tulip shape, single dome (open / vented), or double-dome (power).
• Packaging: Check your last box of domes, which will state 3.0 and the type (e.g., Sleeve 3.0 Closed or Eartip 3.0 Vented).
