Cerustop wax guards / filters are also used with Phonak and Unitron Custom Hearing in-the-ear hearing aids, slim tips, and cShells – used on all Phonak and Unitron RIC hearing aids.

Cerustop Wax Filters

Cerustop wax filters / wax guards work with most hearing aid models from the following brands.

Compatible Brands

• Widex: Fusion, Super SP, and HP receivers (including those with hard custom shells).​
• Phonak: Common on many RIC models (but NOT Paradise series, which uses CeruShield instead).
• Unitron: Most models, including those with cShell earmoulds.
• ReSound (GN ReSound): RIE models with S, HP2, Surefit, and M&RIE receiver wires (older NP, HP, LP wires); NOT Marvel / Infinio models, which use CeruShield.

Steps to Change Cerustop Wax Filter / Wax Guard

To change a CeruStop wax filter:

1. Remove the rubber dome
2. Insert the empty end of the replacement stick into the old filter – and pull it straight out
3. Flip the stick to insert the new white filter – and push it straight into the speaker opening
4. Finally – reattach the rubber dome
