Phonak and Unitron hearing aids are part of the Sonova Group and use the same Receivers, Domes and Filters.

Phonak Domes 4.0 fit Phonak and Unitron Receivers 5.0 and 6.0.

Phonak and Unitron Receivers 4.0 have now been upgraded to 5.0.

Phonak Open Domes 4.0

Phonak Open Dome 4.0 are soft, medical-grade silicone tips designed for Phonak RIC and BTE hearing aids (Marvel, Paradise, Lumity).

They feature an open, highly ventilated structure with multiple vent openings to reduce the “plugged” (occlusion) effect, allowing for natural sound and airflow.

Phonak Vented Domes 4.0

Phonak Vented Domes 4.0 are disposable, soft silicone tips designed for Phonak and Unitron RIC/BTE hearing aids (Marvel, Paradise, Lumity) to balance sound amplification with wearer comfort.

Featuring small ventilation holes, they reduce the “plugged” (occlusion) effect, allowing natural airflow and sound while providing moderate gain.

Key Features and Details

• Design & Function: The vented design offers a middle ground between open and closed, featuring tiny openings that allow air to circulate and unwanted sound to escape, minimising the “boomy” voice effect.
• Comfort & Material: Made of soft, skin-friendly, medical-grade silicone in a discreet, smoke-grey color.
• Compatibility: Designed for Phonak 4.0 receivers, including Audéo, Bolero, and Virto models, as well as certain Unitron and Costco KS9/10/11 devices.
• Maintenance: Domes should be replaced every 6 to 10 weeks to maintain optimal sound quality and hygiene.

These domes are ideal for users with mild-to-moderate hearing loss who need some low-frequency sound leakage to feel comfortable, yet require enough retention to prevent feedback.

Phonak Power Domes 4.0

Phonak Power Dome 4.0 (SDS 4.0) are double-flange, medical-grade silicone hearing aid domes / ear tips designed for RIC hearing aids (Marvel, Paradise, and Lumity hearing aids) to manage moderate hearing loss to severe hearing loss.

They provide a secure, comfortable seal to minimise feedback, enhance low-frequency amplification, and protect against wax.

Key Features and Details

• Design: A “double-dome” or double-skirted, bell-shaped structure that creates a tighter acoustic seal than vented or open domes, reducing whistling.
• Material: Soft, hypoallergenic, medical-grade silicone.
• Compatibility: Specifically for Phonak and Unitron SDS 4.0 receivers (Phonak Audeo Marvel, Paradise, Lumity, and Kirkland RIC models).
• Purpose: Ideal for users with greater amplification needs who require a more robust, non-collapsing fit.
• Maintenance: Recommended to replace every 2–3 months or when the dome shows signs of wear or becomes damaged.

These domes enhance sound quality by preventing sound leakage, making them suitable for individuals who need more power.

Phonak Cap Dome 4.0

This is Phonak’s smallest dome – suitable for users with narrow ear canals.
