Oticon miniFIT Domes (suitable for Bernafon hearing aids)

Description

MiniFit domes are compatible with select Oticon hearing aids and Bernafon hearing aids. They are flexible, medical-grade silicone tips that connect your hearing aid’s receiver to your ear canal. They determine how much natural sound enters your ear and how much amplified sound is retained, directly impacting your comfort and listening clarity.

Each packet contains 10 miniFit domes.

Once opened, the product cannot be returned due to hygiene.

Oticon / Bernafon miniFIT domes

Open Dome

Design: Features a single, wide opening and multiple small ventilation holes.
Best For: Mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss.
Feel: Allows natural, unamplified sound and airflow directly into the ear, virtually eliminating any “plugged up” (occlusion) feeling.

Open Bass Dome

Design: Sits slightly deeper in the ear canal than the standard open dome and features a specific ventilation size (around 4.5 mm to 5 mm).
Best For: Users who want a richer, optimal sound quality experience, particularly when streaming audio.
Feel: Balances natural airflow with enhanced low-frequency sound reproduction.

Single Vented Dome

Design: A closed-style (bass) dome that sits deeper in the ear canal and features one small vent hole.
Best For: Low to moderate hearing loss.
Feel: Offers slightly more amplification and bass response than an open dome while the single vent reduces the “echo” of your own voice.

Double Vented Dome

Design: A closed-style dome with two small vent holes.
Best For: Moderate hearing loss where natural sound retention is still desired.
Feel: Maximises airflow to minimise the clogged-ear sensation while trapping enough sound to prevent the hearing aid from squealing (whistling).

Power Dome

Design: Fully enclosed dome featuring two flexible silicone membranes with zero vents.
Best For: Severe hearing loss.
Feel: Provides the tightest seal available in a dome. This traps all amplified sound inside the canal to maximise volume and prevent acoustic feedback, though it causes a highly “plugged” sensation.

Oticon and Bernafon are hearing aid manufacturers of the Demant Group and some Oticon and Bernafon hearing aids share the same filters, domes, thin tubes, and receivers.

Your audiologist will have chosen the correct dome for your hearing aids when you had them fitted.

The dome style chosen will reflect your hearing loss and affect the hearing aid’s acoustic performance. The correct-sized dome will ensure it is secure in the ear canal.
